My overall impression
I knew very little about Capote going in. He was really dealing with some intense stuff at the point in his life when this play takes place. I found out after seeing it that it is actually a shortened version of the full play. It was very intense broken up with bits of humor. I will say it was so moving and so emotional, that I’m not sure I could’ve handled the full length play. Michael’s performance was Amazing – especially having met him afterwards and realizing how different his voice, his posture, and his movements were changed to become this character.
