My overall impression

There is no “I” in NDNZ was an interesting work-in-progress. It made nice use of a range of emotions and moved through “visuals” in a way that you did not realize that the hour was up. It gave anyone things to think about and a very small slice of present Indian history and how one woman was trying to find her “roots” in her Canadian/Indian heritage. I would like to see this again when it is polished.

If you have not been to The Lounge, as I had not, there is plenty of street parking on the streets adjacent to Santa Monica Blvd. (if you don’t count Vine St.). Thank goodness for the sign on the street, I missed the theatre but saw the sign at the last minute and circled the block to park. Inside is comfortable after you “check in” but the sofas really need to be replace…. too low, too soft. It’s very casual and the curtain call is right on time.

I would certainly recommend this economical, intimate theatre, with nice seating if you see a performance, in their listing, that interests you.
