Sean gives a very real, up front, in your face, point of view experience of what it must feel like coming back from the horrors or war to a Pleasantville life that cannot live up to the trenches of battle. I came in to this show expecting some over-the-top bluster (the actor, Sean Topps, has done over-the-top quite expertly before) but was surprised to find the performance subtler, more nuanced, altogether more heartbreaking. These are very strong and extremely fierce reactions to the stress and intensity of war. They are also the emotions and behaviors you are acutely aware of during Sean Toops' self-written play, What Be G*d is Blessing. The stage is set as how one would expect to see any number of typical homeless camps, certainly indicative to the daily scene of LA's notorious Skid Row.The theater shares walls with surrounding theaters, adding a layer of noise. This is one of the best one man acts I've seen in a long time! You can tell that a lot of work and passion was put in to this act. When you leave the show you'll never see veterans the same way again. It was a very moving show and I will be definitely recommending this show to my friends and family.... full review

not sure what to expect but this show was exceptionally thought provoking. the emotion that sean managed to capture and convey thru his show was heart-wrenching and really pulled me in to his character. throughout his performance i was captivated by the complexity of the character struggles and really felt for his nuances and i really felt that i understood his difficulties with dealing with ptsd.... full review
