My overall impression
Guillermo Garcia in his one night stint as Valentino and Martina Medina (WOW!) led an ensemble of stellar performances while Kathryn Mayer’s on the mark stage direction make La Llorona a true gem of the Fringe. Writer Matt DeNoto has written a script that perfectly balances the magical and the all too real horrors of modern family life. I can’t stop talking about it. The piece is simultaneously evocative, rich in feeling, creepy, tragic and lovely.
