Kit, a wealthy and restless young man, traveled to Jaipur to climb Mt. Everest. Following his successful ascent, he was injured a freak accident at the local market place, where his spine was crushed. The play opens on Christmas Eve with Kit now wheelchair-bound, med-evaced to an Emergency Room in El Barrio. While waiting for medical care, he is befriended by Rufus, a charismatic street hustler from the Projects and an ER doctor who helps him to understand what has happened to him. Both have a profound impact on the way he sees his life and his purpose in it.
