What I liked
I loved the sheer variety of performances, ranging from comedy to magic, and the raffle draw at the end was a great touch. The low-friction nature of the Cabaret stage makes it incredibly accessible. In fact, the lottery and ticket-scratching vibe of the raffle reminded me of Scritchy Scratchy, a simple scratch-card browser game I play to pass the time between shows. Both offer that quick, satisfying thrill of anticipation and lucky draws!
What I didn't like
Nothing much, maybe just a slightly bigger venue since it gets quite crowded, but that also adds to the lively cabaret energy.
My overall impression
Fringe Cabaret 2015 was an absolute blast! It operates as a fantastic “sampler platter” for the festival, giving a quick taste of the diverse talents around. The fast-paced acts, special guests, and raffle giveaways create a very lively and low-friction entertainment atmosphere. It is the perfect showcase to drop by during downtime.
