I absolutely loved WORDS FROM A CUBAN FATHER and have tickets to see it a second time! Alina Cenal's performance is nothing short of amazing. From the moment she steps on the stage, Cenal draws the audience in with her powerful energy, lyrical storytelling, dance, and poignancy. Her and her father's journey from Cuba to America, woven together in a series of flashbacks, touches the soul and has the audience laughing and crying. Alina Cenal is truly fantastic, and she presents the best one-person show I have ever seen! Bravo!... full review

Alina Cenal's brilliantly written story, Words from a Cuban Father, is a journey and an inside look into a very complicated, beautiful life. I had the honor and the pleasure to experience her awesome depiction of her transition from refugee to the American Dream. She performed a flawless one-woman show that made me feel as though I was living the experience. Her capability of physically expressing each scene I found to be phenomenal. I highly recommend anyone who would be curious enough to attend. I give my personal vote and two thumbs up to a hilarious and insightful theatrical experience. ... full review
