This play was great! Really funny, insightful and interesting. The Russian characters were so fun and honest and selfish and loving-what a great blend that resulted in these beautifully fully formed characters. The whore character was also not only spot on with comedic timing but also has an interesting twist that made her ever more interesting. The actors were brilliant and captivating. Hard Sexy Serious Love Conversations is well executed, written and thought out. A genuine character study that examines the themes of sex, money and power. Very cool lighting in the form of table lamps on the stage hitting the actors with some nice front side light that create great shadows and compliment that dark, ominous tone that this play sets. The set dressing was lovely and brought us into the world immediately. This play will certainly make you think and laugh a bit. ... full review

I wasn't crazy about the script, but I thought some fine acting was displayed. The actors did really well with the script they were dealt, offering an in-depth, honest portrayal of their characters. Justin Gordon and Jenna Johnson were stand-out performances; but all actors contributed well to this strong ensemble. I really liked their choice of lighting, utilizing practicals for a more intimate setting. Well-produced and a nice installment for the fest. Kudos.... full review
