Happy Birthday, Mom

It's beautiful when you can find truth in even the most absurd situation. With shrewd storytelling and larger-than-life characters, "Happy Birthday, Mom" is not only a hilarious comedy about an incredibly awkward situation, but a very human portrayal of dysfunctional family dynamics. It's also a disturbing reminder to the twenty- and thirty-somethings of the world that their parents are people too... and they (still) have needs... ::shudder:: Two thumbs up to a top-notch cast than nails the complex relationships between the characters.
