Loved this show! So much fun! Loved the references, the hilarious writing and amazing characters! Fast paced, never dull, great moments created by great actors! I was laughing almost continuously and still had a smile on my face days later. ... full review

Zany cartoonish fun. Solid ensemble cast with two opposing leads who each commit fully to the respective roles as super hero and arch nemesis. Brian Cunningham and Jan-David Souter really kept the energy up and had nice color changes with their asides. Ensemble rounded out well, with supporting roles that served the piece nimbly. Really enjoyed Clare Wess Yauss's Lucy. Jim McCaffree's Police Chief Leibowitz paired well with John Wallis' Commissioner Borden with both clearly exhibiting experience and craft. Chrisanne Eastwood played strong as a specific character type. The henchmen, Milk and Spoon, were amiable foils with great physicalities and Sidekick had a moment or two in limited stage time. Great superhero, awesome sidekick! I recognized Commisioner Bordon (John Wallis) from Doma Theater's "Young Frankenstein". Even the villians were likeable (except, of course, Trix). And I shouldn't forget the narrator, I wouldn't want her mad at me! Lots of fun and puns and jokes and humor, and some great nostalgia for everyone, especially those who loved '60s superheroes, cartoons, and pop culture!... full review

#SkipItLA - I love the concept of this show and the pre-show music of TV show theme songs had me singing along while re-living parts of my childhood - who knew I still know all of the words for the Inspector Gadget theme song? However, despite the cast's total commitment - I rather enjoyed Wombatman and Trix the Rabbit - this script doesn't hold up. It is about half an hour too long - a good hunk of that is the unnecessary intermission - misses the mark on the style, can't pick which era it's in - Lucy is dressed like she's in the 70's but the sargeant keeps singing songs from Frozen - and could use a workshop or two to fine-tune the jokes and character arcs. You really couldn't ask for a better premise. In this parody of the campy 1960s Batman TV show, Wombat Man investigates a string of cereal icon murders (Tony the Tiger, Lucky the Leprechaun) at the hand of the Trix Rabbit, who has just about reached his breaking point after decades of being denied a taste of his namesake cereal. Wombat Man, as dumb as he is sincere, bumbles along searching for clues and trying, like so many before him, to stop that rabbit. In this throw-everything-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks production, the execution leaves quite a bit to be desired.
