#SeeItLA - Rogue Artists do a great job of humanizing the work of Shakespeare in their anything but reverent approach to his works. The structure of the show is loose and seemingly lacks polish, but each vignette within is well-rehearsed, and beautifully done so the audience is provided with a lovely mix of silly and on point. The physicality, masks and puppets are top notch and worth seeing the show just for those. Rogue Artists are truly an ensemble, and they work exquisitely together whether they are actively participating in a scene or actively watching a scene. Shakespeare passed away almost 400 years ago, so to come up with anything original after all this time is to be commended. I wish I could say I'm an avid Shakespeare lover, but I get quite bored seeing a traditional Shakespeare play. Shakespeare(ish) was anything but boring. Very entertaining with bright costumes, props, and music to boot! ...
