About the Project

“Glorious Garbage, Good Grief”, true stories of what’s in the lost & found. This show is approximately 55 minutes in length. This can be lengthened easily as I am loaded with material. It’s a funny, emotionally piercing monologue performed by a seasoned stage actor. The stories follow the lives of two brothers growing up extremely fast in a wild unprecedented counter culture house in a place called DinkyTown. When he says, “Here’s where it gets unique-Er”, he’s not lying. Damiian reveals rather than conceals the common feelings associated with loss; loss of inocence and loss of his brother. He refers to it as a grief cake, (Gluten) with funny, insightful layers and transformative frosting. This dramedy rides a razors edge of Entertainment and Gestalt therefore the post show discussion is likely to be intimate and revealing as well. As a theatrical piece the show stands on its own as a tightly written play. Damiian’s stage presence is completely engaging. The events of his life will make you laugh, probably cry and it’s clear he’s come through riding the wave rather than flailing under it. The impact of this piece is that audience members are emotionally opened up and inspired to share their own grief about those they’ve lost and with those they love. This is transformative theatre of a courageous caliber.
