My overall impression
8:03 is pure theatre at it’s absolute best. No language to complicate things, just the imaginations of you and 3 accomplished physical comedians who are wise and talented beyond their years. And yet there is no one in the audience who doesn’t know what is going on. You laugh out loud, you feel all emotions and your face hurts from smiling and not blinking lest you miss something. These 3 men are each so distinct in their characters and so precise in their movements and their comedy that you don’t know which one to watch. It is so clever, so original that you wonder why we need words at all. This is the essence of what the Fringe should be and very often is not. This is groundbreaking and yet traditional in its simplicity and it’s beauty. It makes you remember what theatre is all about – not fancy costumes, and flying props and naughty subtext. Instead it’s humanity and humor and thoughtfulness. Bravo – the clear winner. I could watch this again and again.
