The Others Theater Company returns to Hollywood Fringe this year with Smile, Baby – a smart and often hilarious show about the decidedly unfunny topic of street harassment. Through a brisk and breezy 50 minutes, the audience is presented with a multitude of sketches that highlight the damaging implications behind a simple “smile, baby.” While it appropriately addresses the seriousness of harassment, the show never forgets that its primary objective is to entertain. If you like sketch comedy you'll love Smile Baby! Savannah Dooley has done it again with this 50 minute fast paced series of wild scenes of women's experiences trying to avoid the everyday hassles of male harassment. The cast of five quickly and effortlessly meld from one character to another as the scenes change. Kudos to director Kate Motzenbacker for the clever staging! And hats off to cast members Madison Shepard, Sonia Jackson, Jessica DeBruin, Linda Serrato Ybarra and Molly Wixson. These well drawn scenes need to be the start of something we can enjoy more of......on TV....on the Internet? SNL watch out....you've got competition!... full review
