My overall impression

The Fringe Festival is now over and I still feel compelled to write a review of “Smile, Baby” A dark comedy of vignettes that had me run the spectrum of emotions: from laughing to tensing up to relatable danger. But what I loved most of all was how it had me thinking about the show (and the world we live in) afterwards. I found myself referencing (a very outrageous / awesome costume I don’t want to spoil the surprise of here) to friends in conversation over the weekend and thinking about how much Savannah Dooley’s writing nailed women…and basically humankind with her funny, vulnerable, flawed, complex characters and world. I want to see it again to find new things stand out.

I think they’re doing some Encores…if so, go see it!
