My overall impression

This fearless traveler has been many places-now including outer space-and she’s quite generous to share her insights. Jessie has a unique engagement with storytelling. Jessie is a visual artist and made her space suit and many props that purposefully litter the stage. She’s a musician who composed songs and music for the cello and ukelele to support the story. She dances. Her encounters with civilization are funny and sometimes sad, but she carries on undaunted by the challenges along the way. She observes that like her father who taught her how to take a piece of iron from the fire and give it a measured blow to obtain the desired effect, she has learned how to apply pressure to the desired spot on a cello string to hit the note she’s after. Her lively story is engaging on many levels.
