My overall impression
In “I’m Not From Here”, Jessie Proksa portrays Sylax, a space alien or a homeless person who tries to make sense of this reality. Her performance is definitely out of this world! It engages at a deeply emotional level, raising questions about the choices we make in our life. Her comedy is weird and sweet and the songs she plays on the ukelele need to be heard. We left with a tear in our eyes and a smile in our hearts.
