My overall impression

Known for creative and unusual adaptations the Underground Theatre once again knocks it out of the park with “Voices” the retelling of Joan of Arc. Written by Craig Victor this retelling puts a new slant on Joan’s execution in a tightly woven script that raises the tension to the final terrible outcome. Directed by Steven Helgoth with his usual attention to detail not only to the acting but also to the staging to create a visual work that heightens the drama. The ensemble rounds out the “picture” of Joan’s life and her trial with adeptness and no false moments. Bravo. See it.
