My overall impression

The choices we make in life not only define us, they shape us. Life is never perfect and we must learn to expect the unexpected, but what if the unexpected crushes us, destroys us, almost as if we have been crippled? How far would you go to search for salvation when you know you are at a dead end? What in your life are you willing to lose due to fear?

The Desperate Yogi is a beautiful story of one man’s challenges as he struggles with HIV, desperate for a cure while trying adamantly to regain his life back to the way it once was. The question here though is…did he even really lose it?

Writer Vincent Gomez has a gift for story-telling that will make you laugh yet tug at your heartstrings in a way that very few can. A very touching tale brilliantly told with the joint efforts of a talented cast and crew, it is sure to be a hit at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. A definite must see!
