Benjamin Schwartz has created a bitingly funny, Tarantinoesque (is that even a word?) comedy brought to life on an intimate stage. Set in a seedy hotel room, it’s cast of characters create a palpable tension while not missing a dark comedic beat in its fast-paced escalation toward the unexpected ending. On one hand, snappy dialogue and wit abound; on the other terror and violence. I as an audience member was grateful to emerge not covered with blood. Zip Ties is so well written, directed and performed – Kudos! See it!
