What I liked
The alien! Talk about having amazing presence and physicality (and WOW that puppetry at the end!). Also, Allie Costa steals the show as Annie (she perfectly embodies all that is Annie and then some!). Fantastic costumes and catchy music too.
What I didn't like
I missed out on seeing Alien Vs. Musical at last year’s Fringe and I know this year’s show is intentionally longer, but I feel it dragged out a little too long and some parts felt really disconnected and disjointed. It was also hard to hear some of the singing over the music which was a shame because I loved it!
My overall impression
Alien Vs. Musical is a really fun show with great music and a unique story. It’s so neat to see so many beloved musical theatre characters on stage at the same time. Allie Costa is perfectly cast as Annie and puts her all into the role. It is worth seeing this show for her phenomenal performance alone!
