My overall impression

I’ll preface this by saying that a) I tend to not be a fan of one person shows, and b)I also (my own opinion only) tend to be critical of plays where the writer performs the lead in the show they wrote. That said, The Last Known Recording of the Lenore Sisters completely tosses those criticisms aside because I can’t imagine a more fiercely talented actress than Jennifer Kenyon, who played all three roles to perfection (and yes, wrote the play, and composed the music). Laugh out loud funny, poignant, and yes, I found myself crying my eyes out as well. In this highly entertaining story that weaves mystery, strained relationships, the bond between sisters, and more — this is a must-see play during this year’s Fringe. Brava to Ms. Kenyon, and to director Amanda Weier for her deft direction.
