My overall impression
What a fantastic hour of Fringe brilliance! Bella is a delight and her show Nell Gwynne is a textbook example of the “highs” of what Fringe can be! The show is beautifully scripted, structured, and staged – I noticed Bella has written some publications – she could certainly add: “How to write, stage and perform a one person show” to her list of accomplishments. Onstage – she is captivating, from the moment she enters the theatre with her basket of oranges. She’s a funny, charming, and moving actress, and she sings hilarious & bawdy songs that you find yourself looking forward to. This is one to catch! One more show on Saturday night! Don’t miss it! You can see a lot of fluff, a lot of fizzle and some “maybe there’s something there” at Fringe but this one is the real deal. GO!
