My overall impression
Stupid Songs is as fun and funny as the reviews here state. But also know this show is a professional operation. It moves without a hitch, a steady, satisfying stream of funny songs that range in style and content. Just a solid, funny show.
But on thing that struck me is how much right-on commentary is sprinkled throughout the show. How women “win” by selling themselves out, society’s crushing expectations and how they can be more deadly than just low self esteem, the way these issues are handled is smart and funny and a great surprise.
I haven’t read all the reviews but I hope somebody said “So entertaining it’s stupid.”
