My overall impression
“Why Water Falls” is an engaging, dramatic, and thought provoking piece of theatre. One person plays are challenging for audiences, and Leigh Curran pulls it off here with tremendous grace and intensity. She blurs the lines between her personal moments and those of her fictional characters, creating a glimpse into the unique life of a veteran actor, writer, educator and community activist. At close to 90 minutes without intermission, “Why Water Falls” is a treat for theatre lovers seeking an original experience from a contemporary authentic voice.
