My overall impression
in my opinion, this was one of the best written pieces in the fringe. it flowed. it made sense. it was easy to follow. and leigh was lovely. she shared and didn’t hold back and we were with her every step of the beautiful way. it’s 90 minutes, which frankly, scared the bajeesus out of me, and not many people can hold an audiences attention for that long (much less one person), but Leigh did it so adeptly and effortlessly, you will experience many moments of timelessness. And if you work with kids like i do (and yes, I too, devoted many hours to Leigh’s creation—the virginia avenue project)— it’s extra special to see the ‘boss’ knock it out of the PARK!
