My overall impression
I had the pleasure of witnessing such a major powerhouse talent on Friday, June 5. Felice Monteith is brilliant as the egotistical Miranda King George in the one woman show production of, “The Miranda King George Show.” Monteith creates the atmosphere of an actual talk show complete with playback monitors that display the show moniker, commercials and interviewed guests. Monteith effortlessly portrays over 5 different characters during the course of the hour long production. She seamlessly uses the talk show playback monitor to interact with characters that she also portrays. There were many moments when I lost myself in her characters forgetting the fact that one person is playing all parts. Each character was distinctly different and authentic. I am still blown away from this hilarious comedic actress’ performance. This production left me eagerly awaiting for more. Miranda King George is like Oprah and Wendy Williams morphed into one body. This is a must see show based on comedic timing and flawless visual production execution.
