"Shaked and Speared--The Afterplays"

I was impressed by the innovation of the writers, directors and performers. These three Shakespeare "afterplays" displayed the team's skill at referencing the originals while reinventing them at the same time. Though short, each was well choreographed, and the actors delivered their modernized Shakespearean dialogue flawlessly. Great costumes, makeup and props, too...something I didn't expect for such a short piece of theatre. Good job Mutineer! ... full review

I have seen a few Mutineer productions and the company is not only growing, but thriving! It was wonderful to get to see more of the members on stage. There are some real gems among an already terrific group! The way the cast played together as this traveling band of performers was a joy to see. One warning: This show is not for children. Some strong themes and language. But also, some great comic moments that still make me giggle!... full review

Shaked and Speared was such a fun time! The acting was excellent - comedic timing perfect! The makeup was phenomenal - you'll have to see it to understand. It was such a different twist on what could have been. I definitely recommend this show if you're looking for some entertainment and laughs.... full review
