A Christian home becomes a broken home in this tragic, five-act verse drama, a meticulously crafted homage to Shakespearean tragedy by poet Caleb Jaimes. Pastor Noah Matthews has three very different sons: twins Paul and Evan, the genius and the black sheep, respectively; and the good son, Alex, who is all but engaged to the pure and lovely Dora, whose sister, Anna, has a secret history with Evan. When Paul comes home from college, Evan shows up after a long absence, to the surprise of his family, and chagrin of his father, who tries to throw him out. On the night of Paul’s graduation party, Evan spikes the punch to spite Noah, then proceeds to drunkenly rape Dora, mistaking her for Anna, before Paul discovers the atrocity and stops the act. As a broken Dora seeks to hide the truth from Alex, and Evan seeks to blame the crime on Paul, the two families are forced to question how evil could have penetrated their Christian homes, and must confront doubts that lead to further wickedness and end in tragic death.
