My overall impression
Rise is a captivating piece of work. From the moment it starts you know it’s going to be a roller coaster ride with many twists and turns. Joshua Fardon’s writing never disappoints and this was no exception being a story that leaves the audience talking about it long after the curtain falls. His ability to create such beautifully flawed, vulnerable characters teetering on the edge of sanity is spellbinding. Bravo to actors Troy Blendell and Chantelle Albers for the intensity of their performances and ability to bring the loneliness of their characters to life, and to director Kevin Hoffer for his subtle yet poignant direction.
