Solo performer Marjorie Mann transforms into seven different characters during her piece, SERAFINA’S UNVEILING. Each character is based on the Seven Deadly Sins: Sloth, Wrath, Pride, Envy, Lust, Gluttony and Greed.
Goodness has gone awry in this zany romp, where everyone is a characterization of the worst side of what may lie within each one of us. We meet the ladies, including an uber-egotistical Bellydancer, a Rapper attending Overeater’s Anonymous, a road raging biker chick, to name a few.
The play exposes ‘sin’ as a lack of self-love. By pulling back the veil, and revealing the underlying problems, the healing can begin. The realization that “one must reveal it to heal it”, will move us all to higher ground.
