My overall impression
Last Sunday me and my friend John went to see the play. Mostly I went to see the play to support my friend Lena who produced it. But the whole experience turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The lead actress who also wrote the play based on her own experience as a first generation Russian American did such a good job. It was a sincere attempt to understand her own roots and find her own place in this world. She was relatable, funny, ironic, sad and smart. I hope to see more plays written by her and produced by Lena.
