My overall impression
Super cool venue, great music, and a riveting story. Although I was familiar with some of the music (written by Susannah’s mother, Carol Hall), I loved hearing it against the backdrop of the dynamic family history that Susannah conveys so beautifully with her storytelling. Listening to Susannah sing her own songs was a treat as well, especially after getting some insight into her upbringing; she does a wonderful job of connecting with the audience throughout the show. And I have to acknowledge the band as well. Three very talented musicians provided the soundtrack to the show, as well as a little humor. Fantastic show!
