My overall impression
For anyone who’s ever grown up in someone’s shadow — be it an older sibling, a distant relative, or (in this case) a parent — this show nails it! Through her own songs and those of her famous mother (songwriter-singer Carol Hall of “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and so many others), Susannah makes a musical case for leaving the nest and finding one’s own spotlight that will have you singing and applauding her very unique talents. This is one of the most entertaining evenings I’ve had all year. I could not recommend it more highly.
