My overall impression

I bought tickets to the show, but unfortunately was not allowed in at the door. I was DEEPLY disappointed, in no small part because I rode my bicycle…from Reseda.

But I had an expensive Camelback water bottle that the doorman wouldn’t let me take in. He pointed to his feet and some store-bought water bottles there, on their side on the ground, and said he’d watch it for me. I asked if I could at least ask management to make an exception and allow me to tuck my bottle away inside. I put my mouth on that bottle and didn’t want it rolling on a patch of ground where gallons of spit and urine have been deposited over the years and again, because it wasn’t cheap. Also, the doorman has no vested interest in watching over my water bottle.

As well, I wasn’t going to leave it on my bike since it could get stolen…or worse. You never know what could be in bottle upon your return if you leave it outside.

Anyways, the doorman was inflexible, and while I did go in briefly after leaving my bottle outside, I was so pissed from yet another example of shittiness in LA, that I split. Plus, I was prepared to eat and drink and spend money, but not now, not in this establishment. Nor will I ever step foot in 3 Clubs.

I think Susannah is a terrific artist, and I look forward to seeing her somewhere else.
