My overall impression

Having read the other reviews I can only assume that I came on an off night. The biggest, deal-breaking issue was that the show ran 30 minutes over its stated run time. That’s HUGE, and made even more so considering that it’s only supposed to run 90 minutes in the first place. I ended up being 20 minutes late to my next show and I must admit I was pretty pissed off about it, even though I got in to see the show for free.

As for the show itself, I really liked the concept and I thought the actors were decent (Adam was great as the lead!) but the script was rough. I think I was expecting it to focus much more on John Wilkes Booth himself, but the majority of the play revolved around his other family members, which weren’t nearly as interesting to me.

I’d love to see a slimmer version of this play that focused more on John, but as it currently stands, and especially with the run time issues, I don’t think I would recommend it to my friends.
