My overall impression

Lockout was the most moving, captivating and professional show I’ve seen at Fringe. The lead, Bridgette Campbell, provided a stunning portrayal of a woman devastated by the 1913 Lockout in Ireland to transport you back to a time when men, women and children fought and died for their rights as workers. Rather than deliver a long dramatic monologue, Bridgette made you feel like you were a friend sitting at her kitchen table reliving the highs and lows together. But what really took this show to the next level was the music, sound and movement happening on stage – all perfectly orchestrated and delivered by an outstanding supporting cast and ensemble. Lockout is one you don’t want to miss.
