My overall impression

How does a relationship survive & how do you remain authentically yourself within that relationship when one partner’s needs & terms dominate? This is a tough subject to take on, and the play doesn’t offer any answers. It does explore one woman’s attempt to find her answer. The play does a good job of highlighting the more traditional, male-privileged relationship without preaching, and the actors hit the high & low notes without sentimentality. The directing is top notch – excellent visual storytelling that captures the claustrophobia, the desperation, & the love under it all.
