A remarkable show about the paradox of being true to one’s self. Artists (and anyone with self-reflection)will see their own quandary in “That’s Why I Hold On”. Jonella captures the impossible task of keeping creative commitments and succumbing to the emotional pull of childhood, family and internal and societal expectations. I laughed. I cried. I related. I cheered for the heroine!
