Are you a fan of classic routines like “Niagara Falls (Slowly I Turned)” or “Who’s On First?” Join burlesque’s funniest comedy team, Doc and Stumpy, for a 3-hour exploration of classic comedy bits. Scenes are based on Doc’s award-winning book, Baggy Pants Comedy: Burlesque and the Oral Tradition. Students will learn how burlesque and vaudeville comics approached their craft, drawing on stage-tested material that they adapted to new performing situations. Participants will have the opportunity to perform classic blackouts and routines.
