Moby Alpha is the most creative show I have yet seen at the Fringe. Their adaptation of Moby Dick in futuristic outer space was totally believable, even natural. Though there are only two performers, they weave a rather intricate plot, each performer playing at least 5 different roles (I lost track)! Despite the complexity, their excellent acting and character work combined with their brilliant use of space helmet lighting (you've got to see it to understand) made the plot development crystal clear. Bravo!!... full review

The Sci-fi references from film, television and literature never stop in this smart, funny adaptation of Moby Dick. The special effects are astonishing for a show this size. One wonders how they were able to pull them off on such a small budget. They may never catch the elusive title of "Perfect Fringe Show", but they will never stop trying even if it means certain death for them and all their crew. Great job! ... full review

This was the first time I've ever seen a Charles show, so maybe they're all like this, but honestly, this is one of the best shows I've ever seen; I was laughing the entire time. It's simple (just a few cool home-made props), original, and really quite cleaver. I was actually a bit sad when they said it would be over in another week; going to see if I can rally people who couldn't make it this time to catch them next time. -Don V... full review
