My overall impression
There’s something so uniquely, hilariously creative within the hellscape of shitty writing that Magnum Opus lampoons. There are certain places most experienced writers don’t go because they know… well… that it’s a terrible idea. Not so with Magnum Opus, and every terrible choice leads to new levels of madness beautifully bottled into humor by the decidedly un-shitty actors, who commit to the nonsense as if it were Shakespeare.
Expect to lurch forward with plenty of those extra-obnoxious “HA” laughs many, many times and get that knee ready for some slapping. God, I’m glad it’s back.
