My overall impression
This show has the makings of something special. The music is memorable and not overpowering which allowed us to experience the story and the talent of the cast. This cast is phenomenally talented with vocals that are the real deal. Malynda Hale the star of the show, completely dominates the stage vocally and leaves us wanting to hear more from her. Mykell, who plays her brother, has serious star power that I would dare say is underused in this musical. The performance of Nora Rothman is equally as enthralling. I believe this show is very much worth experiencing. I may even go see it again.
