Wow--what a fabulous performance! This one man show is a must see. Scott Hislop has written such a funny and poignant piece, and he delivers it with panache and wicked comic timing. And then in a heartbeat, his tone is sincere as he revisits some of the more painful moments in his life. I was swept along with the rest of the audience, taking the journey with him, experiencing every moment--one moment smiling, laughing, then intensely silent, and then a great outburst of laughter and applause. And bonus! He dances and sings, too. Brava, Scott Hislop! Go see "I Want to Bury My Testimony." ... full review

Brutally honest and hysterically so! Scott is a true triple threat who blends all facets of his talent seamlessly to share his truth. I walked out having laughed. Having teared up and having whooped with joy. Don't miss the chance to witness this artist in full force who shares all and gives you so much to think about along the way. ... full review

Scott Hislop's show is smashing. It is funny, intelligent, moving, and superbly directed by Kelleia Sheerin. It takes us into the mind and heart of a young man growing up in the Mormon faith and his journey into change, and acceptance (and embracing) his sexual identity as a gay man. Scott is a hugely talented dancer and entertainer, and his work in the more serious moments of the show is also deep and truthful. Cleverly staged and mounted it is a show for everyone - not just gay or LBGT people. I loved the show and thought Scott was extraordinary. ... full review

Kudos to Scott Hislop and the entire crew!! While watching, all I keep thinking was...BRAVE. So honest...so heartfelt, Scott floats through so many personal subjects with such ease...AND...being 100% entertaining!! From the moment Scott's dialogue is set into motion, he does not stop - from moving props around, to changing clothes, to singing and dancing - never leaving us...always engaging us at every turn. His command of the stage is extraordinary and I would highly recommend that if you have not seen the show yet, you must go!! STOP THINKING...LISTEN TO YOUR HEART AND GO BUY YOUR TICKET...NOW!!!!... full review

I want to bury my testimony is beautifully and brutally honest. Scott Hislop performs a well-formed and admirable testimony on who he is and how he got there. We all have things in our lives that we want to "metaphorically bury", it’s just a matter of gaining the courage and wherewithal to actually do it. No matter who you are, or where you are in your life this show will inspire you to be you. Scott leaves it all on stage without bias. Eloquent, funny, Relevant and profoundly intelligent. Directed with such creative flare. Kelleia Sheerin’s sharp eye definitely showed through well constructed transitions and staging that captured past and present events with ease. He speaks, he teaches, he sings, and he dances. His whole life up unt... full review
