There is a sweet madness that this show gives off and a joy that comes from ripping apart Shakespeare and making it a hoot. Exuberent performances abound in this retelling of Much Ado plus aliens. From fun devices to create the “deformed ones,” to irreverent soliloquies (notably Arthur Keng), and neon glowsticks to create the mood, this Shakespeare is on the trail of something good. There is also an outstanding performance from Evan Smith, who holds all the disparate elements together. If I had only one wish for this show: more aliens.
