I am happy to report that not only does “Mine is Yours” have a solid connection with the Bard’s text, but that they stage it in such a way that it breathes fresh life into his words. You would think cramming a five act play into 90 minutes would result in pure, frenetic chaos, but they have such a tight grip on the reign that you still get the lion’s share of tender character beats with Viola/Orsino and Sir Toby/Andrew/Maria hijinks. They found a creative way of double-casting which involves the (mostly) ever-present Fool, and results in some genius moments of physicality especially toward the end. I would be amiss not to mention the contribution that the musical stylings of Liz Eldridge adds to the show, which sets the tone right from the beginning. Definitely check this one out.
