My overall impression

Do you get off on danger?! Do you like watching two guys walk on glass, put nails up their nose, swallow needles and shoot at each others faces?! Then you need to go see David and Leeman!

This duo is definitely a delight to watch. They bring together traditional magic tricks and stunts mixed in with great banter and self-deprecating humor.

Overall this was a very polished and entertaining set. The theme of danger is wonderfully incorporated throughout the show with the human blockhead, glass walking, the spike trick, and guns. The best thing about David and Leeman is that they don’t take themselves seriously – they’re silly and have not only a great rapport with each other but with the audience. They also use just the right amount of silly-boy humor to make them endearing. Although the theme is danger, they play this danger purely for comical entertainment, which keeps the audience laughing and cringing and awe-ing.

Director and magician Jon Armstrong has done well to help this young duo refine their act ensuring a well-paced act. David and Leeman have full control of the stage and audience. Even when one trick had a slight hiccup they immediately brushed aside with a joke and carried on.
