City Lights: The combination of poetic words, staggeringly emotional performances, and hypnotic music created a jolt to my heart. Quite astonishing that in such a short amount of time I was taken on such a roller coaster of a journey and that I felt deeply for each of the four characters in one way or another. Congratulations to Cassandra Shea for writing something I want much more of. She is certainly one to watch. Congrats to the brilliant cast Kimberly Alu (raw and edgy), Cassandra Shea (wickedly funny), Kimberly Source (heartbreaking), Tessa Lopez-Scott (sweetly touching) for fully embodying these young women who all started one way and ended up radically different. And Congrats to the directors and tech crew who made it all se... full review

I don't even know where to start. This show will make you laugh, cry, and forces you to face questions that everyone tries to avoid. The four girls have SUCH great chemistry and the writing is simply beautiful. LOVE this show, I highly recommend people to go see it! I don't want to say too much because I want you to have the same experience I had, walking in not knowing what it was really about ( besides four girls living in the city ) and walked out completely moved. GO GO GO see this... full review

In love love love with this play! I had the pleasure of watching it on the first night and after the hilarious first overlapping transaction between Cassandra Shea and Tessa Scott, I thought "It could only go up from here"! But... It didn't. I went devastatingly south! I mean... I didn't know when to laugh or cry. This play is something people need to watch - especially if you're not FROM Los Angeles and have moved here to fill in that spot in your heart that screams "I have to leave my home and go search for my 'something more'". This is a play to watch! ... full review

We came to see this show knowing totally nothing about it, and were blown away by the almost poetic examination of losing your soul in a big city, in this case the City of Angels. With razor sharp direction by Caitlin Muelder and Scott Ferrara, the burden of praise must rest on playwright Cassandra Shea's shoulders - and what promising shoulders they are. As a writer, there is a deep layer to every piece of dialogue, matched only by her fierce talent as an actress, in this case supported by an able company. There is not a false moment in the piece. My only complaint was that it was over too soon, and there are themes and characters that could have been given more focus -- but it is a brilliant start. ... full review
