My overall impression
Andrew Villareal is the Jennifer Lawrence of this play. You can’t stop watching him, and when it’s over, you wanted him in every piece. The show’s overall theme penetrates each segment. By the end of the second scene, you’re searching for that thing to make you cringe or cower. It always appears: sometimes punching you in the face, sometimes leaving you with a light tap on the shoulder. Each time the writer gives you that gift is as satisfying as the last. You will leave searching for the same mysterious elements in your own life; twisting the ordinary into something deliciously strange.
