All the plays were excellent. I go to a lot of theater in town, from small venues to the Geffen, Taper and Ahmanson and it's always about the writing. And these shows were top-notch writing -wise.
The three by Ron Zwang were nuanced, edgy and very funny. "Jodie" captured a perfect slice of life situation with dialogue both human and funny. "Hope You Guess My Name" turned pop culture on its head with its humorous look at one hit wonders. "A Perfect 10" did a terrific twist on a first date with darkly idiosyncratic humor.
The two plays by Nate Edelman were also terrific. "Bittersweet Salvation" was funny, turning religion on its ear and "Blind Struck Ugly Luck" was not just thought provoking but also humorous in a Southern Gothic way....

I went to see this production with 4 friends and we all loved it. Excellent acting, writing and directing. Our favorite scene was the man lost in the desert directed by Gabrieal Griego. Ms. Griego found every moment of pathos in this hilarious farce. Well done!
I highly recommend seeing this piece. The audience was very into the show. A lot of laughs. See it!...
